English language theatre for the young and young at heart

Tokyo Theatre for Children is a community theatre group of adults dedicated to bringing quality English language theatre to the young and young at heart. Started in 1974 by three international school mothers, our first show was Hansel and Gretel. We have been sharing the magical world of musical theatre with Tokyoites for over 40 years.

TTFC is run completely by volunteers who give countless hours and energy to each of our shows.  We range from amateurs to professional actors and always welcome new volunteers and actors. TTFC performs fun musical plays aimed at children but enjoyed by all age groups and varying English language levels. Past productions include the Wizard of OZ, The Little Mermaid, Treasure Island, Red Riding Hood, Peter Rabbit, The Wind in the Willows, The Little Mermaid, The Jungle Book and The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales. All presented with a sense of fun and silliness.
